Community Guidelines
Last updated: October 5, 2026
Snarky\'sis for making and playing games together. We're informal about tone — we will absolutely make fun of your first prompt — but we are not informal about the rules below. These guidelines are part of the Terms of Service; breaking them can get a game unpublished or an account suspended or banned, same as breaking the Terms themselves.
1. Games
Make something you'd be fine with a stranger playing, and fine with us hosting.
- Make original games. Don't copy other people's characters, names, art, music, or whole games. "Inspired by" is fine; a clone with the serial number filed off isn't.
- No sexual content, hate speech, harassment, or real-world threats — in the game, its art, its audio, or its text. Ever.
- Zero tolerance, no exceptions: nothing that sexualizes or exploits minors, in any form. This gets an account permanently banned and reported, full stop.
- Graphic violence needs to be rated Teen or Mature, honestly — see the age rating field when you publish.
- No fake login screens, fake system dialogs, or anything pretending to be another app, site, or person. No asking the player for passwords, payment details, or other personal information through the game itself.
- No malware, crypto-mining, or anything that abuses a player's device, browser, or data instead of just, you know, being a game.
- Set an honest age rating and content tags. It's how other players (and parents) know what they're clicking into.
2. Comments
Comments are for talking about the game, not auditioning for a different platform's report queue.
- No harassment, slurs, or targeted insults — about the game, sure; about the person who made it, no.
- No spam, scams, or dropping links to get around platform moderation.
- Creators and moderators can hide or remove comments on a game; repeatedly flagged comments get reviewed and can get the commenter suspended.
3. Remix etiquette
Remixing is the whole point. Do it with a little grace.
- Credit is automatic when you remix — we show the lineage back to the original creator. Don't try to strip it, fake it, or claim a remix as a from-scratch original.
- If a creator turns remixing off, that's their call for future forks — existing remixes someone already made stay up, but don't go looking for workarounds to fork a game that says no.
- A remix still has to follow every other rule here — "it was already weird in the original" isn't a defense.
- Improving a remix and sharing it back is encouraged. Reskinning someone's game to make fun of them personally is not a remix, it's harassment — see Section 2.
4. Multiplayer
Other people in your room are, in fact, people.
- No harassment, hate speech, or threats to other players in a room, voice, or any in-room messaging.
- No cheating: exploiting bugs in the host/room connection, spoofing game state, or using tools to get an unfair edge.
- Don't use a multiplayer room for anything other than playing the game — it's not a general chat relay or a way around other rules.
- A host or moderator can remove a disruptive player from a room; repeated bad behavior in multiplayer gets the same enforcement as anywhere else.
5. Using the AI
The builder will make almost anything you ask — that's a reason to be more careful with it, not less.
- Don't prompt for anything that would break Section 1 if it showed up in the finished game. Asking the AI to make it doesn't make it allowed.
- Don't try to jailbreak the builder, extract its system instructions, or repeatedly probe it for content it's refusing — that's treated as abuse of the AI, not a clever bug report.
- If a franchise name or recognizable character sneaks into your build because you asked for "Mario but ___," expect it to get flagged before it can go public — rename it and make it your own.
6. Selling stuff
Tips, unlocks, and in-game items are great. Scammy ones aren't.
- Price what you're actually offering. Don't sell an item, unlock, or "tip reward" and then not deliver what the listing described.
- Don't pressure players into tipping through guilt, fake urgency, or anything that reads as manipulative rather than "hey, you liked the game."
- Don't buy your own paid game or items with a second account to fake sales numbers — see Terms — Accounts on one account per person.
7. Reporting & what happens next
See something that breaks these guidelines? Use the Report button on the game, profile, or comment. Copyright specifically goes through the Copyright & DMCA Policy instead, since that process has its own legal requirements.
- Every report goes to a human moderator — nothing gets permanently removed by an algorithm alone, though a game with several open reports is automatically held out of public feeds while it's reviewed.
- We don't share who filed a report with the person it's about.
- Outcomes range from nothing (sometimes a report is just wrong) to a content removal, a suspension, or a permanent ban, depending on severity and history — see Terms — Moderation and enforcement.
- Think a moderation call on your own content got it wrong? Email [TRUST & SAFETY / ABUSE EMAIL].
